What is the difference between organic coffee and conventional coffee?
Organic coffee is grown and produced withouth the use of any synthetic fertilizers or chemicals. All of our organic coffees are certified organic by Quality Assurance International.
How do I place an Order?
Orders can be placed by calling us directly, messaging us or via email.
Do you only offer the coffees and Cocoa listed on your website?
Currently the products on our site are all that we have available. However with each harvest season we bring more of the farmers of the region online. So be sure to check our site to see what new products we offer.
How do I track my order?
When the order is fulfilled we update you with an email containing the tracking number for your order. By simply checking on the tracking number you'll be able to track your order shipment.
When will my products ship?
Your coffee will almost always ship within one business day of us receiving your order. We are closed on the weekend, so we process all weekend orders on Monday. Often times, we are able to ship out your orders the same day if received in a timely manner. Please be aware that weekends and holidays may affect delivery timing.
My package arrived damaged or did not arrive at all, what do I do?
Call us ASAP so we can get in touch with the carrier, send you some replacement product and find out what went wrong?
Can I ship parts of my order to different addresses?
Unfortunately not all bags placed in a specific order must be shipped together to the same address. Just place two seperate orders!
What if I live in Hawaii or Alaska?
We offer the option to ship via USPS to Hawaii and Alaska.
What if I have an APO address?
We offer the option to ship via USPS to all PO addresses.
How do I remove myself from your email list?
Trust us, living in this world we know how annoying spam e-mails are and we try to never send anything like that to you. If you wish to unsubscribe from our email newsletter you can click the link in the bottom of the latest newsletter you received.
How do I cancel an order?
If there is a problem with your order an you need to cancel and/or change it, please contact us as soon as possible.
Can I place an order by phone?
Yes, absolutely! Just call us at 505-463-7773.
Are you a coffee shop? Am I able to get a cup of coffee?
Unfortunately, we do not sell coffee by the cup. Yet, we specialize in the wholesale of green coffee beans. However, we do plan to open a roastery in the future where you will be able to enjoy our specialty roasted coffee.
What does the term "Organic Coffee" mean?
Organic Coffee is coffee produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers or chemicals in growing or production.
Is your coffee organic certified?
We do offer several organic certified coffees. These coffees are cultivated, roasted, and certified in accordance with USDA Organic standards. However, certification can be too expensive for many small farms and shareholders. Our farmer-direct partners use organic cultivation practices whenever possible, even if they are not certified.
Is your coffee fair-trade or direct-trade certified?
We purchase our green coffee supply at above-market pricing, and we purchase specialty-grade coffees primarily. We also visit farms directly twice a year and maintain ongoing direct-trade relationships with those farms. While we take strides to ensure our coffee is sourced as ethically as possible, we do not currently subscribe to the fair-trade or direct-trade certifications.

What is single origin coffee?
Single origin coffee is a coffee grown from a single known geographic region. Sometimes this is a single farm or a specific collection of beans from a single country and it is not blended post roast. Single origing is significant to the specialty coffee industry because it allows for equivalent and traceable comparisons amongst roasters. Each region has a unique flavor profile for the varietals of coffee grown.
What is "Direct Trade"?
Direct trade is a process of sourcing green coffee beans from independent micro-lots. Direct Trade is an alternative to fair trade, creating lasting and mutual beneficial partnerships between the roaster and farmer - forming a more sustainable and transparent supply chain for specialty coffee. Direct trade roasters typically pay 25% higher prices to the coffee farmer by foregoing the cost of fair trade certification.
How are my prices set?
Coffee prices are established against the New York "C" Market. This is the commodities exchange where coffee futures are bought and sold. Like other commodities, coffee fluctuates in price due to many factors such as weather, political turmoil, supply and demand. Brokers sell against replacement cost of coffee bought and sold, thuys coffee prices rise and fall in line with this market. Most of our coffees carry differentials - they are priced higher or lower than the "C" Market. Differentials are based on factors such as quality, availability, and demand. A coffee of exceptional quality and limited supply will always sell at a higher price than the"C" Market.
What is the purchase minimum?
We have no purchase minimums. We will sell anything from 1 bag to a full container load of coffee. We do not sell broken bags.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept debit/credit cards, e-checks and/or wire payments.
Where are Paraíso Trading's warehouses?
Currently we store our coffee in a facility in Houston, TX where it isvery optimal to store green coffee beand due to the humidity.
